A multi-sector recruitment company is investing in its digital infrastructure to support its business growth strategy.

Huddersfield based Major Recruitment has almost doubled its workforce in the last 12 months to 90 people and added new sectors to its recruitment services.

Led by managing director Phil Bottomley, Major Recruitment provides bespoke recruitment solutions in more than 10 sectors including technical and engineering, logistics and healthcare.

It has offices in Wakefield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Beverley, Manchester, Liverpool and Oldham.

Supported by business communications specialist NGC Networks, Major Recruitment is set to undergo a digital transformation project, taking advantage of the new ultra-fast full-fibre internet network being built by CityFibre.

NGC Networks is CityFibre’s partner in delivering gigabit speeds to businesses in Wakefield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, York and Hull.

Phil said: “Growing a business inevitably puts pressure on your IT infrastructure particularly when you operate across a number of sites like we do. We have decided to react to that by investing in Gigabit connectivity which will provide us with much faster, stronger internet connectivity at our Huddersfield and Wakefield offices.”

NGC Networks has implemented Voice Over IP (VoIP) technology at all of Major Recruitment’s locations. VoIP delivers voice communications over the internet rather than by traditional telephone lines, providing cost savings, improved resilience and business continuity.

Major Recruitment is also moving its IT services to the cloud as part of this project.
