York set to benefit from surge in student property investment

John Pye Property will bring a block of three four-bedroom purpose-built student apartments to the auction market this month

There has been a significant rise in the number of student property investments offered for auction in recent months, say John Pye Property.

The auction specialists also expects there to be even more interest from investors looking to buy good quality student accommodation in York.

As part of its November sale, the online property auction experts, John Pye Property will bring a block of three four-bedroom purpose-built student apartments to the auction market this month (15 – 16 November) as part of a £23.5 million UK-wide auction.

Richard Richard Reed, head of property at John Pye Property, said: “The purpose built block is located in Fountayne House in Lawrence Square, York with all three apartments currently being let, generating an annual income of £59,280. This represents a ten per cent yield on the guide price of £590,000 – an excellent return on investment.”

John Pye Property regularly features properties from across the UK including residential, commercial and buy-to-let properties. Its latest monthly online property auction will go live on Wednesday 15 November and conclude on Thursday 16 November 2017.
