The call has gone out for all market traders whether regular, casual or new traders to pitch up and book a place at Thirsk market on Saturdays.
Hambleton District Council who run the normal weekly markets in Thirsk have changed the Saturday market to an ‘Open Market’.
And in an attempt to entice more people to trade are also offering discounted pitch fees until the end of February. Regular traders will pay from just £8.50 and casual traders from £15 depending on the size of the stall.
Established in 1145 the market sells everything from socks to sweets.
