Consumer accolade for York insurer

A York insurer has bagged a top consumer award a year after launching its new brand.

The Insurance Emporium, based at Great Ouseburn, landed a Feefo Trusted Service gong based on customer feedback.

Chief executive officer Francis Martin said: “To receive this accolade from our customers in The Emporium’s first year is a terrific recognition of all the hard work that’s gone into getting our new product range right.

“It’s been an exhilarating 12 months and this positive customer feedback is a great start to our second year.”

“The Insurance Emporium launched in January 2017 as the new face of E&L Insurance, with a range of 20 new products and cartoon classic Mr Benn as its new mascot.

“The business now provides pet, horse, motor, wedding, caravan and fishing polices among other lines, with plans for further additions this year, under the catchline of ‘If you love it, keep it in the Emporium’”.

It is currently running a series of television adverts featuring Mr Benn, who has insurance in place for all of his magical pastimes.
Customers’ top comments about the insurer on Feefo included friendly staff, low premiums and user-friendly website.

The Feefo honour is given to businesses achieving four stars or more on its online customer ratings platform throughout 2017.

Feefo CEO Andrew Mabbutt said: “The Trusted Service award has always been about recognising those companies that go the extra mile.
