Onstate, based at Graingers Way in Leeds, launched in 2010 with a team of two staff and a handful of small clients. The business now employs 20 people including retail strategists, programmers, digital designers and account managers and has a client base composed of consumer and high street brands.
Later this year it is also looking to expand operations, investigating potential sites in the North East and in Dublin, where many of its clients are based.
The business was founded by directors Richard Day and Chris Marshall. The pair originally formed Onstate to provide clients with a complementary mix of Richard’s brand and creative skills with Chris’s commercial expertise and retail insight.
With a turnover in excess of a million and an impressive roster of international clients, Chris and Richard have established a highly specialist ecommerce agency which still embodies their original ethos.
Earlier this year Onstate was appointed by department store Fenwick, a national store group with a reputation for distinctiveness and innovation, striking a balance between prestige and value.
This adds to Onstate’s specialist roster of department store clients which includes Brown Thomas, Home Store + More, Arnotts, The Original Factory Shop and Leekes. The agency also holds the prestigious accreditation of being an approved business partner of both Magento and Salesforce
Other recent client wins include John Greed Jewellery, an online provider of top jewellery brands and the leading online UK stockist of Pandora jewellery and exclusive male grooming brand, Scrubd.
The Onstate team currently works with a wide variety of clients including major high street brands and specialist luxury retailers ranging from Alexa Chung, Crockett & Jones and Brown Thomas to Second Nature, and Eden Being.
