York PR agency puts its Mind to charity

A York is donating 30 hours of its time to a mental health as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.

The Partners Group, which is based on The Mount, will use its PR skills to support and raise awareness of the on Friday 18 May, as part of Mental Health Awareness Week. The charity aims to encourage 100 people to join in their celebration event and raise £500.

Partners Group director said: “We’re very grateful to all the charities that took the time to contact us and apply for 30 free hours of our time and advice. We’ve chosen to support York Mind as we feel we can make a real difference to the York Walls Walk with the time and resources we have available.

“We love the fact that’s it’s an event for local people, using a York landmark to engage and include a wide variety of people who are willing to show their support for mental health issues. York Mind have seen a rise in demand for their services and must raise vital funds in order to continue to meet that demand and help even more people.

“The Partners team will certainly be taking part in the walk, and we’ll be encouraging the York community to join us – so please sign up today!”

“Every penny raised from this event is vital, to ensure that York Mind can continue to meet the growing need for our services for better mental health in the area. We’re hoping to see lots of people taking on the historic route to show that together, we really can make a difference in York.”
