Tech start-ups looking to accelerate the growth of their business are being invited to “Tech” The Next Step with AD:VENTURE as part of Leeds Digital Festival.
Tomorrow, AD:VENTURE, the ERDF funded programme providing dedicated support to eligible young businesses that have strong growth ambitions, will join Business Enterprise Fund to showcase how its funding and support works.
Both organisations will use the opportunity to demonstrate to delegates just how simple and easy the process is for tech businesses and entrepreneurs.
Helping to debunk the myths around public funding and support is John Hicken and Simon Zimmerman from Solomon and also Ravi Toor from Filamentive; each will share their enterprise journey which included accessing invaluable support from the AD:VENTURE team.
Named as Leeds Entrepreneur of the Year, Ravi recognised that there was a gap in the market and an environmental need for recycled filament. He is now using recycled polymers to transform the 3D printing industry and called upon AD:VENTURE to help set-up his business.
Receiving advice on his business plan, cashflow and digital marketing, the young businessman also benefitted from start-up funding to boost stock capacity from the Business Enterprise Fund.
Great examples of how AD:VENTURE can propel a business forward, Ravi, John and Simon will be on hand to answer questions and share their experience of accessing public sector advice and funding.
Nicolas Kendall, head of marketing at Business Enterprise Fund, said: “Leeds Digital Festival is a fantastic platform for new and young tech businesses to access the help and advice needed to grow.
“We know that these businesses looking to grow in such a fast paced and competitive environment benefit from support and funding. We can help! By demonstrating just how simple the process is and by detailing the support and advice on offer we hope to help to take young tech businesses to the next stage of their growth journey.”
In 2017 across Leeds, there were 314 businesses launched within tech, a sector that has 92 per cent growth potential. Expanding year on year, the city-wide Festival will once again celebrate all things digital from today – Friday 27 April.
“Tech” The Next Step with AD:VENTURE will take place on Tuesday April 4pm – 6pm at Floor 10, Platform, Bruntwood Office Space, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4JB. To register for this free event email email@example.com or visit: https://leedsdigitalfestival.org/tech-next-step-adventure/
