Newby, an established developer based in Harrogate, has commenced work on a luxury family housing scheme at West House Gardens in Birstwith, near Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The new development is being delivered as a joint venture between Newby Homes and Castle Homes.
The circa 4.7 acre site has planning permission in place for 27 homes, ranging from three to six bedrooms, overlooking the countryside of Birstwith in the heart of Nidderdale Valley. The collection of exclusive new homes has been carefully designed so that each individual property provides a spacious and unique living style for homeowners seeking a modern, rural lifestyle.
Work is now underway on site, with a show suite set to open in early 2019 ahead of the official launch of the homes in March 2019.
Newby has also submitted a planning application to develop out the remainder of the site with a further five homes ranging from three to five bedrooms with landscaped gardens as well as a mixture of one to three bedroom units for affordable housing. The additional homes have been designed to complement the existing scheme and maximise the potential of this well positioned site.
Nick Moody, director at Newby, said: “We are delighted to be embarking on West House Gardens. The site is ideally located in the popular village of Birstwith where homeowners will be able to enjoy some of the most beautiful surroundings in the Nidderdale Valley.
“We believe that it’s the small things that make a huge difference to how people live, which is why the Newby homes have been specially designed and thoughtfully planned, down to the very last detail. We are looking forward to seeing the work progress in order to contribute to the housing supply in North Yorkshire.”
