Insurance broker and risk management specialist Gallagher has relocated to new offices in the heart of the business district in Leeds, as it looks to create a new corporate client ‘centre of excellence’ in the city.
Gallagher has built a specialist team of 20 executives which will exclusively handle mid-to-large corporate clients from its new city centre base at Minerva House, on East Parade. By focusing the efforts of its team in Leeds, it can ensure the region’s largest businesses receive a dedicated, tailored service delivered by individuals well-experienced in managing and mitigating their distinctive risk exposures.
Gallagher’s segmented approach in Yorkshire is already proving effective with major contract wins in the last few months, including a chilled distribution and warehousing company with a turnover of £235m and a carpet and flooring specialist with a turnover of £35m.
In addition to the Leeds office, Gallagher’s Yorkshire operations include two further branches in Wakefield and Sheffield. Collectively, the offices continue to provide insurance and risk management solutions for firms of all sizes – from SMEs to large corporates – and across a wide breadth of sectors, including hospitality, logistics, construction, food and drink, and manufacturing.
Richard Barraclough, head of office of Gallagher in Leeds, and managing director of the Yorkshire region, said: “We’re delighted to move into our new premises at Minerva House. We thought it was a perfect fit for our new corporate client centre of excellence, as being in refurbished offices in the heart of Leeds’ business district allows us to deliver a consistent, quality and timely service to our biggest clients.
“Combining our expertise in Leeds, Wakefield and Sheffield with our UK-wide network of 50-strong regional branches and our global operations, means that we can create competitive and customised solutions for all our clients, whatever their size or line of business.”
