Carter Jonas, on behalf of Teakwood Developments, has recently submitted a planning application for a light industrial estate covering approximately 10 acres immediately to the west of Harrogate, at White House Farm, Penny Pot Lane.
The development proposals reflect the need for more employment space around Harrogate and also take into account the significant growth anticipated through residential developments on that side of the town.
Interest has already been received from prospective occupiers and the project is set to safeguard jobs in Harrogate as well as attract new businesses.
Having been involved in the development at Saltergate Business Park, approximately a half a mile from the proposed new development, Chris Hartnell, associate partner, Carter Jonas said: “This development should allow us to not only meet the pent up demand illustrated by the full occupancy of the nearby Saltergate Business Park, but also will allow Harrogate to retain and attract new jobs.”
Carter Jonas is joint agent on the project with Fordy Marshall. Subject to receipt of planning permission new industrial units ranging from 1,000 to 20,000 sq ft could be available on both a freehold or leasehold basis during the course of 2019.
