First4Lawyers, legal marketing specialists, are partnering with the University of Huddersfield.
First4Lawyers will be working closely with the forensics department at the University on an MSc Forensics project throughout the year, looking at how the forensic science has had an impact on the investigation for drink and drug related offences over the las 50 years.
The MSc report is due to conclude in September, and will be the first of three projects that First4Lawyers plan to do with the University in 2018.
The partnership is the start in a number of local relationships that First4Lawyers aim to build throughout the year.
Head of Marketing at First4Lawyers, Andy Cullwick, said: “We are very excited to announce this partnership with our local university. We welcome the opportunity to work closely with such a wonderful educator and look forward to sharing the final results.”
Sophie Turfus, one of the lecturers in forensic toxicology who is heading up this study at Huddersfield University, said: “We are very happy to be collaborating with First4Lawyers on a very topical and worthwhile issue, and are proud that our students will gain a real insight into the relevance of forensic sciences in our country by working on this collaborative project.
We hope that this will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship with such a prestigious local company.”
