East Yorkshire-based Soanes Poultry has won new business from established family run catering butcher, Aubrey Allen.
The Middleton-on-the-Wolds business now supplies its award winning chicken to Aubrey Allen wholesale butcher and cheese supplier in Coventry.
Carolyn Pennock, head of sales and marketing at Soanes Poultry, said the company is thrilled to be supplying the family run business. She added: “Like Soanes, Aubrey Allen is an award winning family business that prides itself on providing its customers with the highest quality produce.
“It supplies its high quality meat, poultry and cheese to restaurants, takeaways, hotels and catering businesses nationwide and we’re looking forward to extending our distribution in the West Midlands.”
Aubrey Allen’s purchasing manager Andrew Wensley said: “We believe that quality can only be measured by repeat business and consistency is the hallmark of our promise to our customers. We buy from suppliers who understand this promise and are therefore looking forward to developing our business with Soanes Poultry.”
Established in 1933 by orphan Aubrey Allen in a back street in Coventry, the eponymous business has grown to become a leading national catering butcher and was awarded a Royal Warrant by appointment to the Queen in 2013. The Aubrey Allen business also includes a retail butcher’s shop, a training division and the Michelin recommended French bistro and steakhouse, Oscars.
Soanes Poultry is a family owned business that has been rearing and preparing chicken for over 70 years. It employs 120 people and rears five million chickens a year on its Yorkshire Wolds farms and also sells its chicken and game to butchers and independent retailers throughout Yorkshire and nationwide.
