Leeds lawyers strengthen key teams with brace of appointments

One of ’ longest-established solicitors has bolstered its team with a brace of new appointments.

Milners, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary, has recruited Nicola May to strengthen its commercial property specialism;  while joins its litigation department as a paralegal.

Both will be based at the company’s Leeds city centre headquarters at .

For Nicola, the new role is a case of going back to the future.

The former graduate of Huddersfield University and the BPP Law School in Leeds launched her legal career at Milners in 2015 as a paralegal and completed her training contract there.

In addition to supporting Head of Commercial Property, , Nicola’s legal expertise extends to a range of contentious matters including clinical and professional negligence and Industrial disease. She re-joins Milners after working for Ramsdens.

As well as pursuing a career in law, Nicola is a democratically-elected local representative, serving the community of Luddendenfoot on Calderdale Council.

She is also the appointed event coordinator for the Halifax and Huddersfield Junior Lawyers’ Division.

Nathan, who lives in York, formerly worked for BC Legal and  before joining Milners’ litigation team under the stewardship of department head and senior partner Giles Ward.
