New canteen space for Shire Beds staff

Shire Beds staff in their new canteen

The Shire Bed Company has officially opened its new staff canteen. 

The Dewsbury-based manufacturer recently spent almost £70,000 updating an area in its old head office for its employees, providing larger, more modern facilities for use at break and social times.  

To mark the occasion, Shire hosted an open event for its staff, which included an array of food and drink. 

, The Shire Bed Company sales and marketing director, said: “We look forward to strengthening the team spirit and investing further in the well-being of our employees. This involves providing excellent facilities where our staff can relax and recharge.” 

Shire has also recently invested in a new uniform for all its members of staff. 

The company produces beds, mattresses and divan beds and supplies nationally and internationally to major retailers and the contract sector including education, care and hospitality.
