Following two rigorous assessments – which saw a cross section of the organisation’s workforce, customers, trustees and volunteers being interviewed – Disability Action Yorkshire has again been awarded the Matrix and Investors in People standards.
The Matrix Standard is the unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals.
The Investors in People Standard is underpinned by a rigorous assessment methodology and a framework which reflects the very latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.
The assessments stated that “there were strong indications that Disability Action Yorkshire continues to value and invest in the development and personal wellbeing of its employees at all levels”.
Disability Action Yorkshire chief executive Jackie Snape said: “Retaining both our Matrix and Investors in People standards is significant, and one that we are naturally delighted about.
“Just because we attained these awards three years ago, it was not a given that we would be automatically do so this time.
“At Disability Action Yorkshire we take nothing for granted. Day in, day out, we work very hard on ensuring all those associated with us – customers, volunteers, staff and trustees alike – are at the heart of everything we do. We take all of our people very seriously indeed.
“We are now looking ahead to our next assessment and, over the next three years, we will do everything in our powers to ensure that, come 2021, we again achieve these prestigious standards.
“Once again the comments from the assessors have been most helpful, and these will help us shape the way we operate in the months and years to come.”
