Harrison Spinks invests in business communications

Bed manufacturer Harrison Spinks is supporting its growth with investment in its business communications.

The fifth-generation family business employs more than 600 people at its manufacturing facility in Leeds where it hand crafts luxury mattresses and beds.

It recently opened a £2.5m innovation centre to transform its headquarters and working environment for staff and earlier this year won two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for innovation and international trade.

Business communications specialist NGC Networks has implemented an Avaya IP based business telephony solution at Harrison Spinks’ site on Westland Road, replacing two old telephone systems.

The new solution provides resilience and business continuity and enables employees to use cordless telephony as they move around the factory, warehouse, offices and communal spaces.

Chris Dawson, IT manager at Harrison Spinks, said: “Our ageing telephone system has been brought up to date with a modern, flexible solution which can be expanded easily.
