Yorkshire’s largest independent vehicle-hire firm has been shortlisted for a prestigious award to celebrate Great British Entrepreneurs.
Arrow Self-Drive has been announced as just one of six finalists in NatWest’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year category.
The awards, which will take place at Manchester’s Old Trafford on November 15, aim to celebrate successful entrepreneurs who have demonstrated a hunger for opportunity and a growth mindset.
Founder and managing director of Arrow Self Drive, James Hill, was among thousands of businesses who entered the awards. The Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year category is awarded to entrepreneurs leading and excelling within a family business.
Established in 1988, family-run business, Arrow Self Drive delivers safe, sustainable and affordable road transport to hundreds of customers across the region. Celebrating 30 years in business, today the company boasts a fleet of almost 2,000 rental vehicles.
Having recently bought co-founder Chris Taylor’s stakes in the company, Arrow-self drive is now 100 per cent family owned. Arrow Self Drive’s success has already been recognized this year after taking home first prize at the Eaton Smith Business of the Year Awards.
James Hill said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award and very excited for the upcoming event. At Arrow Self Drive, family is at the heart of everything we do so we are thrilled to be nominated for The Family Business of the Year category.”
