Brighouse based card payment solutions company, Yorkshire Payments, has secured a hat-trick of new clients following a record 12-month period that has seen the firm process transactions totalling more than £470m through its systems.
The company, which provides SMEs across Yorkshire with access to card payment solutions and chip and pin terminals, has secured new contracts with Halifax-based The Piece Hall Trust, Yorkshire-wide solicitors firm, Brearley’s, and Brighouse window and door manufacturer, QuickSlide.
Working with The Piece Hall Trust, Yorkshire Payments will overhaul the till payment systems at Halifax’s iconic Piece Hall, and install new contactless card payment terminals for retailers.
Its project with Brearleys Solicitors will see the firm install card payment solutions across all six of the Brearleys’ West Yorkshire offices to allow for over-the-phone invoice payments for clients, including the firm’s recently opened Park Square office in Leeds city centre.
Quick Slide will also introduce card payment terminals to enable the company to process card payments over the phone for the first time in its history.
James Howard, managing director at Yorkshire Payments, said: “I’m delighted to be working with these three new businesses after a year of record growth that has seen us grow our client base further across Yorkshire.
“Following recent stats from UK Finance revealing that debit card payments outstripped cash payments for the first time last year, an increasing number of businesses are switching on to the need to be able to offer card payment methods to deliver the best possible customer experience.
“Businesses that are not set up to process card transactions, be it customer facing or over the phone, are putting themselves on the back foot when it comes to cashing in on an increasingly cashless society.”
