Risby Homes site manager wins seal of excellence

Oliver Barrett recognised at NHBC Pride In The Job awards

Risby Homes site manager Oliver Barrett has been awarded the prestigious “Seal of Excellence” by the National House Building Council (NHBC).

The award recognises the work Oliver has done on Risby’s latest development, Westcote Farm in South Cave.

Now in its 38th year, the Pride in the Job awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.

More than 16,000 site managers across the UK were eligible for the award, with only 140 of winning the Seal of Excellence.

Each was assessed across 44 different criteria over a 12-month period. These included  random spot-checks, high-levels of consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings, technical expertise and health and safety.

Oliver said: “We are proud to receive our latest Pride in the Job award. A combination of teamwork, dedication and hard work has enabled us to win this award. We love what we do, so it makes it even more special.’’

NHBC chief executive Steve Wood said: “Pride in the Job recognises the hugely important role site managers play in delivering high quality new homes for residents and homeowners across the UK.

“Their role is undoubtedly one of the toughest in house building, they really do make the difference to quality on site”.

Westcote Farm is bespoke 23-home development which has just six-homes remaining for sale and ready to move into for Christmas.
