This month, innovative fashion brand Joe Browns is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its first ever brick-and-mortar store at Sheffield’s Meadowhall.
The opening of the brand’s 4,000 sq ft store was a major milestone for the retailer after selling solely online for over 20 years. The outlet offered customers the opportunity to immerse themselves in Joe Browns’ colourful world, bringing to life its online persona and creative vision.
Since its launch, the store has surpassed expectations recording £2m in sales and over 42,000 orders. The retailer has proven to appeal particularly to Meadowhall’s male audience with menswear representing 23 per cent of store sales compared to 14 per cent online sales.
Darren Pearce, Centre Director at Meadowhall, said: “Joe Browns has proven to be a big hit with Meadowhall customers and we couldn’t be more delighted that it chose our centre as the location for its first ever brick-and-mortar store.
“The store has been a great addition to the mall and coincides with our £60m transformation investment to provide customers with new and innovative brands, such as Joe Browns, and an enhanced experience when they visit us. We expect to see continued success for Joe Browns, at Meadowhall and beyond, and we look forward to cementing our relationship with the brand long into the future.”
Simon Brown, managing director and founder of Joe Browns, said: “We are delighted with the way our store in Meadowhall is shaping up. We have learnt so much in such a short space of time and that gives us confidence in building the store portfolio in the future.
“It has given us the chance to crystallise our unique brand in a physical environment which our customers love and keep returning to. Everyone at Meadowhall has been very supportive and it is a pleasure working with them.”
