Park Valley House, historic 19th Century mill office at the heart of Park Valley Business Park in Lockwood, Huddersfield, is now fully occupied.
The 6,000 sq ft heritage building, which has been imaginatively converted to high-quality office accommodation, has six tenants.
The latest occupier is the Edinburgh-based City Partnership (UK) Ltd, a well-established and successful provider of corporate and fund services. The firm has taken 510 sq ft of Grade A office space.
Martin Duckett of Park Valley Huddersfield Ltd said that he was tremendously proud of what had been achieved at both Park Valley House and Park Valley Business Park, where more than 100 sustainable jobs have been created already. Once completed, the park will be home to hundreds of employees.
“We have been able to transform a derelict industrial site into a modern business park, with first class industrial units and a wonderful heritage building in Park Valley House,” he added.
Andrew Lecomber-Peace of City Partnership said: “With the growth of our registrar services business over the past two years, we decided to open an office down here to complement our Edinburgh office.
“The obvious choice was to look at the surrounding areas, so we considered offices in West Yorkshire locations such as Huddersfield and Wakefield. Park Valley has a lot of positive features, which made the decision to set up here an easy one.
“It is private and set back from the main road; the views are very picturesque and ‘typically Yorkshire’; IT facilities and internet are first rate; there is free parking for office staff and enough spaces for visitors; and the whole complex is secure.
“We provide corporate and fund services. We meet our clients’ requirements for registrar and receiving agent services; corporate administration; compliance and governance services; accounting services; fund administration services; and corporate communications services.”
Sarah-Jayne Lishman, of Leeds property consultancy Dove Haigh Phillips, who are marketing Park Valley House and Park Valley Business Park, said: “Park Valley House offers magnificent character space in an impressive heritage building.
“It has been refurbished to an exceptional standard, effortlessly mixing modern and historic features, whilst the views over the River Holme and Park Valley are gorgeous.
“More specifically, it boasts fantastic lighting, on-site parking and meeting room facilities, which all create a fantastic and dynamic office environment. Altogether a significant amount of money has been spent on this very sensitive and comprehensive restoration and it shows. It is unique in this area.”
