Organisers of events being planned to celebrate the visit of the Tour de Yorkshire next month are being urged to make sure they have notified the district council.
Temporary Event Notices (TENs) may be needed when entertainment and alcohol are involved – but to be processed for the May event they must be with Richmondshire District Council by April 18.
A TEN is needed if the event is less than 168 hours, includes activities that require a licence and is being held at premises that aren’t already authorised by a premises licence or a club premises certificate. They cost £21
Further information and the application form can be found at: https://www.richmondshire.gov.uk/licensing/alcohol-and-entertainment/temporary-event-notice/
- Anyone uncertain whether or not the activities proposed are licensable, should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 01748 829100 and ask to speak to a Licensing Officer.
