The launch of a new adult care home in Leeds is set to create more than 100 jobs in the local area. Exemplar Health Care’s Copperfields nursing home will officially open in September, with work well underway to prepare for residents’ arrival in just over four months.
The specialist adult nursing home is situated by East Leeds Cricket Club in the suburb of Cross Green and is looking for medical professionals and domestic staff to join its team ahead of the big opening in the autumn.
Copperfields will provide specialist nurse-led care for 30 adults with complex needs including people living with complex dementia and long-term mental ill-health. Copperfields will need everything from neurological nurses to carers and cooks, so people from the local area are encouraged to get in touch if they are interested in any types of roles.
Selina Wall, Exemplar’s senior director of Operations, said: “This is a great opportunity to be part of our brand-new home in Cross Green, particularly for medical professionals wanting to move away from hospital life in the region to a more holistic care environment. It’s a really exciting time and a chance for a new team to help shape the service we will offer.
“We’re lucky to be joining such a lovely community. We’ve already worked closely with Cross Green Growing Together who helped us choose the home’s lovely name and we’re excited to work with the community more over the coming months.”
Copperfields will be Exemplar’s second Leeds home, alongside Ravensdale in Whinmoor which has been in the city for almost ten years. It is rated Good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission and specialises in care for people with neuro-disability.
