A fledgling North Yorkshire consultancy has made its first key personnel appointment.
Emma Copley has taken on the position of office manager for MATTGRAY Hospitality Consultancy, and will be based at the start-up firm’s Skipwith head office.
MATTGRAY Hospitality was launched in January by co-directors’ Graham Usher and Matt Rose, who between them have more than three decades working in the hotel and hospitality industry.
The core areas of expertise being offered by the pair cover sales, marketing and revenue management; brand development; food and beverage; and project management co-ordination.
The business currently is the owner/operator of two successful country pubs – the Drovers Arms at Skipwith, and the Castle Inn at Cawood, both in the Selby district.
It is also working with the owners of hotels in Hull, Lincolnshire, Grimsby, Humberside and Blackburn, seeking new properties to add to its pub portfolio, and is in the process of launching a new on-line service managing hotel and restaurant customer review sites – positive and negative!
MATTGRAY co-director Graham Usher said: “Our business has grown to the point where we need an extra resource, hence us appointing Emma as office manager.
“Emma has worked at the Drovers for a number of years and is an extremely confident and competent individual, one who has exactly the right qualifications and qualities to manage the business on a day to day basis.
“We have converted a section of the Drovers’ first floor into our head office where Emma, myself and Matt will based. It also has plenty of room for us to expand into.”
Emma Copley said: “MATTGRAY is now at the stage where it needs additional support and I’m delighted that I’m going to be its first office manager.
“I’m very much looking to taking on this new head office function, and playing my part in the future success of the business.”
