Event services company Joe Manby Limited is celebrating a 40-year relationship with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) after agreeing a new three-year contract for its annual conference and exhibition.
The company has worked with the CIH since 1982 and has been appointed by event organiser Ocean Media to provide shell scheme and electrical services until 2022.
The CIH’s conference and exhibition is Europe’s largest housing festival and takes place annually over three days in June at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
With more than 8,000 attendees and 500 speakers in 11 theatres, the event is a platform for key stakeholders – local authorities, housing associations, key partners and suppliers, government, housebuilders and developers – to examine and debate some of the biggest challenges facing the housing sector.
Richard Manby, director at Joe Manby Limited said: “As we celebrate our 45th anniversary in business this year, we are pleased to celebrate long-standing business relationships with the Chartered Institute of Housing.
“Our latest contract with the Institute runs until 2022 by which time we will have been the events services partner for 40 years. We are delighted to play our part in the event’s longevity. Our team prides itself on the quality of the services we provide and this is a ringing endorsement of our abilities.”
Sarah Payling, strategic partnerships director, Ocean Media said: “My time using Joe Manby Limited has been a mere nine years of the 40 but when I took on the role overseeing Ocean’s flagship event, Housing, I was assured they were the best. And I can honestly say they have been a dream to work with from day one.
“Even when we halved the build days from four to two in year one at Manchester! Ocean has a clear motto, together we succeed’ and with the team at Joe Manby Limited we have a great partnership.”
