Christmas has come early for a Harrogate charity thanks to a town centre Harrogate hotel.
As part of its support for the local community, the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa is “donating” the space for Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity’s Pop Up Christmas Market.
Taking place between 10am and 4pm on Sunday, December 1, the festive event will feature a wide-range of festive and non-festive independent craft and gift stalls, and includes carol singing and Father Christmas in his grotto,
Tickets cost £5, which include admission to the Pop Up Christmas Market, welcome drink with a mince pie and a ticket for the charity’s festive prize draw. For children, the entry fee also gives them the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in “Christmas Corner”.
Matthew Hole, DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa general manager, said: “For more than a century, the Majestic has played a prominent role within the town, giving employment to many local people and significantly benefitting the local economy.
“In return, we want to give something back to the area, and one way we do this is by supporting charities and good causes.
“Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity is one such organisation that we are delighted to support, hence us ‘donating’ the space for them to stage their first ever Christmas market.
“And, following the completion of a major £15m makeover, it will also give us an opportunity to show off our newly refurbished facilities, including Frederick’s Bar and Piano Lounge, Carter’s Champagne Bar and Grill and the newly-opened Harrogate Spa.”
