Market-leading bathroom company acquires site in Leeds

The new 55,000 sq ft site is the bathroom firm’s second site

Innovative bathroom and tile product specialist Cubico Bathrooms has signed a three-year lease on Townagte PLC’s Unit C, Scheme 3 at Copperworks, Haigh Park Road, Leeds.

Cubico has acquired the new 55,000 sq ft industrial space via Towngate PLC – in addition to its existing 110,000 sq ft warehouse in Birstall – to boost its storage and distribution processes, and support its 60 per cent turnover increase in the last 12 months.

At the forefront of bathroom design, the brand stocks over 1,000 high-quality and affordable products – including baths, showers, taps and tiles – and distributes them to other businesses, showrooms and property developers throughout the UK.

Unit C forms part of a larger 180,000 sq ft warehouse/distribution property, which is close to the city centre as well as major motorway junctions, which will allow Cubico to keep up with increasing demand, and continue to provide quality customer service.

The site also benefits from 360° circulation and ample parking. Scheme 3 at Copperworks enjoys a large power capacity, clear working height of up to 10m and multiple ground level loading doors.

Craig Waddington, founder of Cubico, said: “We’ve reached storage capacity at our current site in Birstall, so we needed to expand our storage capabilities and Towngate has been fantastic in offering us affordable additional storage to help the company continue to grow.”

Towngate PLC’s property manager, Tom Lamb, said: “We are pleased to welcome Cubico Bathrooms as the newest occupier of our Haigh Park Road industrial facility at Copperworks. The location will prove extremely beneficial for them – being so convenient for the motorway network – and we look forward to working with the firm going forward.”

Towngate PLC was represented by Gent Visick, Leeds.
