Bradford Garden Centre donates “wish tree” to specialist school

A Bradford Garden Centre has donated a Christmas tree to a Leeds school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The team at Tong Garden Centre donated a 3 metre tree that pupils and visitors to Springwell Academy will use to share their Christmas wishes.

Sophie Lee, administration assistant at the Seacroft school, said: “We’re delighted that Tong Garden Centre have been able to donate a Christmas tree with lights. We are now able to provide the opportunity to create a Springwell family wish tree where our children and visitors can add their wishes.”

Tong’s Centre Manager Andy Mears said: “The Christmas wish tree is a wonderful way of bringing families and the community together to share hopes and wishes and we’re delighted that we were able to help.”

“This wonderful donation from Tong will have a real impact on the families we support and help them feel part of our community this Christmas,” added Ms Lee.

Springwell Leeds is a specialist academy that serves the whole of Leeds. It provides care and education for 300 children and young people.
