Go Media has acquired Online Data Intelligence

Go Media, a national digital agency, has acquired a local counterpart Online Data Intelligence to create a Yorkshire-based software powerhouse.

Since 2007, Go Media Ltd has transformed from a modest website provider to a full-service digital agency which creates innovative bespoke solutions for businesses across the UK.

More recently, Go Media have been creating online products for sports clubs including Featherstone Rovers, Ossett United and Yorkshire Carnegie, under the brand “Sportals”.

Sportals’ unique services give clubs opportunities to generate revenue by utilising a strong online presence and streamlining processes within the club.

Paul Norton, managing director of Go Media Ltd, said: “We have a hugely diverse range of clients as many of our products and services span across every industry. Over our twelve-year history, we have helped companies from start-ups right through to our multi-million-pound clients to streamline their processes and innovate through clever software implementations.”

As part of the acquisition, Online Data Intelligence, which has been developing ticketing and video on demand (VoD) solutions for clubs since 2015, will now be able to offer a much more inclusive service to its impressive client base, which includes clubs like Castleford Tigers, Salford Red Devils and Wakefield Trinity, Hull FC, Huddersfield Giants, Sheffield Eagles and Batley Bulldogs.

Similarly, Sportals can now use this technology to improve its offering and make a real difference to UK clubs in the sports industry.

Steve Roberts, former managing director at Online Data Intelligence, said: “Why Go Media, why now? The software we’re currently developing has grown in size and customer base meaning we needed a bigger team to help us make sure every one of my customers kept on receiving the same level of support, as well as the software receiving the right amount of development time to progress beyond expectations.

“I have evaluated many different suitors and a ready-made, highly experienced team, along with a company whose products and ethos closely match my own, seemed like a perfect fit.”

Steve has been appointed chief technology officer (CTO) at Go Media Ltd and will be instrumental in the development of new technologies and business relationships moving forward.
