Bank of England to address Humber business leaders

The Bank of England’s agent for Yorkshire and the Humber, Juliette Healey, has been confirmed as the guest speaker for the IoD Business Lunch in Hull.

Just a week ahead of the Government’s planned Budget, Juliette will give her informed views on the economy, including an overview of the economic picture and key challenges facing businesses.

The lunch is on March 5, 2020, at 1884 Wine & Tapas Bar, Hull, starting at noon.

Juliette is the Bank of England’s senior representative in the region, a position she had held since 2012. Her view, along with that of her colleagues across the UK, is an important input into both monetary and financial stability deliberations at the Bank of England.

Pat Coyle, chair of IoD East Yorkshire, said: “These are interesting times for businesses with Brexit on the horizon and a new government. We are looking forward to hearing Juliette’s invaluable insights about the short, medium and long-term prospects for the economy. I’d urge business leaders from all sectors to join us for what promises to be a fascinating talk and discussion.”

Tickets are £25 for IoD members and £30 for non-members. Contact helena.drake@iod.com for more details.
