Huddersfield travel agent shortlisted for national award

A Huddersfield travel agency has been named as a finalist in the Travel Trade Gazette’s TOP 50 travel agencies in the UK.
Travel Experience, based in Kirkburton, has been shortlisted in the Yorkshire region and is up against four other travel agencies for the coveted award.

Ms Bangham added that her team of six travel professionals have a combined experience of over 150 years between them in offering worldwide tailor-made travel and offer customers extensive travel knowledge and personalised service.
The TTG Top 50 is a nationwide awards programme that recognises the best travel agencies across the country. TTG was established as Travel Trade Gazette in 1953, as the world’s very first weekly travel trade newspaper and today is one of the leading travel trade magazines in the UK.
Group editor Pippa Jacks said: “Now in its fifth year, the TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies initiative – which recognises travel retailers for customer service and innovation and not just sales – goes from strength to strength.”
The shortlist was decided through rating by a wide panel of agent-facing suppliers, including tour operators, airlines, GDSs, cruise lines, and hotel companies. Travel Suppliers were asked to rate agents they had worked with in the last 12 months, and to consider expertise and service as well as sales performance.
New for this year, nationwide finalists are invited to attend a face-to-face judging session at TTG’s London office instead of a video call if possible, while assessments in high street branches will involve more of the store’s wider team.
A shortlist of five branches in each regional category, and five companies in each nationwide category, will now go head-to-head in the final, with the winners to be announced at a ceremony on April 30, at The Vox in Birmingham.
