More than 200 businessmen and women from across the region attended an event in Harrogate showcasing the benefits of electric and hybrid vehicles.
Staged by Ethos Asset Finance at Rudding Park, attendees were able to test drive more than a dozen environmentally friendly cars and vans, including a fully-restored 1953 Jaguar XK120, which has had its petrol engine replaced with a powerful and clean electric one!
The event – which also featured models by Tesla, Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, BMW, Kia, Volvo, Nissan, Mercedes Benz and LDV – was aimed at businesses looking to change their combustion-powered company cars for fully electric or hybrid alternatives.
The company’s managing director, Chris Brown, said: “This latest electric car showcase day was a fantastic success and the numbers attending far exceeded our expectations. Many attendees signed on the dotted line, starting their green journey there and then.
“I’d like to thank the manufacturers and charging experts for supporting us on the day and being on hand to not only speak to the attendees, but also accompany them on test drives.”
Chris added: “From April, pure electric company vehicles with zero emissions will benefit from zero per cent tax, and no benefit in kind – together with low running maintenance costs – now is the time for businesses to look seriously at changing their vehicles to a greener solution.”
