Leading supply chain and logistics consultancy SCALA continues to strengthen its service offering to clients with a new senior hire.
With over 30 years of experience in the logistics sector and extensive expertise in supply chain design and optimisation, David Short joins the team as a senior consultant.
David’s most recent position involved leading the industrial engineering function for DHL Europe, developing comprehensive supply chain solutions across all DHL services and business units.
With expertise in advising on a wide range of logistics and warehouse operations, David will help to lead the warehouse design and optimisation projects that SCALA undertakes. As well as this, David will assist with SCALA’s new due diligence offering for companies engaged in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Having previously worked for SCALA on specific projects as an associate consultant, David will now join the team as a full-time employee. The hire comes at a pivotal time for the business as more and more companies are looking for ways to maximise their workspace and supply chain efficiency in increasingly turbulent market conditions.
David said: “Having spent most of my career leading cross divisional supply chain projects, joining SCALA was a no-brainer!
“SCALA already has an extensive and well-respected reputation in the supply chain and logistics sectors and I’m looking forward to furthering its position as the go-to provider for businesses’ warehousing and logistics needs.”
John Perry, managing director at SCALA, commented: “David’s vast experience in supply chain logistics makes him the perfect fit. With such a broad range of experience in the sector I have no doubt that he can help to support our clients with the best advice when assessing their supply chain efficiencies.
“With more and more businesses looking to optimise their supply chains and ways of working, David will help to strengthen our team’s offering and further the level of comprehensive advice we can provide to both new and existing clients.”
