A sales and account executive with over a decade’s experience in the motor trade has joined the team at independent asset finance company, Ethos.
Joseph Knowlson, whose last position was overall sales leader at a West Yorkshire prestige car dealership, has taken on the key role at Ethos Asset Finance.
Last quarter the firm, launched in 2007 by former banker Chris Brown, saw completed deals rise by 27.7 per cent compared to the same period 12 months earlier.
In addition, it has recently launched The Electric Broker, a specialist electric car division that is solely working in the green vehicle funding market.
Chris Brown said: “We are delighted to welcome Joseph to the Ethos team. He brings with him considerable experience in the luxury car sales market and is keen to quickly make his mark with us.
“Over the last four months we have held two extremely successful electric and hybrid vehicle showcase events, attended by hundreds of businesspeople, which in turn led us to launch The Electric Broker. This is an exciting time for Ethos and Joseph couldn’t be joining us at a more opportune time.”
As a teenager, Joseph was signed to York City Football Club, and still plays for a local team. He cut his motor trade teeth at a garage in Skipton where he learned the sales process and how to deal with customers.
Other dealerships he has worked with include Evans Halshaw and JCT600.
Joseph said: “I’m very much looking forward to this new chapter in my career and the challenges that come with it. Over the last decade I’ve learned a great deal about the new and used car market, and in particular how the finance side of the business works. These are the skills I bring with me to Ethos.”
