Applied Digital Marketing has launched an online pick up and distribution service

Applied Digital Marketing, based in Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield, has launched an online pick up and distribution service to help those at risk and in self-isolation during the COVID-19 crisis.

The online portal allows people to donate food and essential items via a simple system they have developed. The company will schedule pick ups and distribution of goods via a network of volunteers and staff.

Managing director Steve Sykes said: “We have had to respond to the COVID-19 crisis like every other business. Though we’re very busy servicing our clients, our team were keen to help those less fortunate than us, and are dedicating their own time to doing this.

“Our company has space and equipment to support the activities for this, and a lot of experience developing complex online software for our clients, which we’ve put to good use here, getting an initial version online in a matter of hours. We’ll be developing the system behind the scenes to meet demand as it develops.

“We’ll also be reaching out to our friends and clients to ask them to help in any way they can.
