HARIBO has turned its Castleford factory blue, as a sign of respect and appreciation for all NHS and key workers.
The HARIBO team of 700 colleagues, hope that this gesture will communicate a big thank you as the facility stays illuminated over the coming weeks.
Jon Hughes, managing director at HARIBO, said: “This is a challenging time for everyone. Our NHS and key workers are doing a fantastic job of caring for us and keeping our country going, and we wanted to show our appreciation.
“We are extremely proud of all our colleagues working hard during such a challenging time and together we wanted to show our support. So our factory will turn blue. We will also continue to deliver moments of happiness to those working in our NHS by sharing treats with hospital teams across the UK. We know that this is a small gesture, but one that we hope raises a smile and communicates a big thank you!”
A family-owned business, HARIBO has been making much-loved sweets for 100-years.
