Caedmon Homes has appointed award-winning Yorkshire property consultancy Preston Baker to market its prestigious St John’s Mews residential development in York.
The development, which comprises 29 quality one, two and three-bed apartments, is already 50 per cent sold.
James Baker of Preston Baker said: “This is an incredible opportunity. We are delighted to have been appointed by such a reputable and highly regarded developer.”
“Following on from the success in generating sales on Caedmon’s site in Priory Meadows near Boroughbridge, we are excited to be given the opportunity to sell the beautiful apartments in the centre of York, close to the Minster, York District Hospital and St John’s University. York University, meanwhile, is not far away.
“As a way of saying thank you for their tremendous work during the Covid-19 pandemic, key workers will be offered a five per cent discount on all two-bed apartments on site.
“Meanwhile everyone here at Preston Baker is looking forward to seeking the reaction of the buyers when they see the penthouse apartment with its breath-taking views of the Minster.
“We will be opening the show apartment every weekend from Saturday July 4, with times to be confirmed. All apartments are ready for immediate occupation,” he added. “Please contact our team on 01904 803799 to make an appointment – or simply turn up on the day.”
Paul Brown, director of Easingwold-based Caedmon Homes, said: “We are very pleased to be working again with such a respected local agency as Preston Baker. They have an excellent track record for marketing homes and residential developments across Yorkshire and we look forward to them promoting St John’s Mews swiftly and effectively.”
Phase Two of the prestigious development, which comprises the two and three-bed apartments, has now been released.
The two-bedroom properties start from £295,000 to £360,000, the two-bedroom duplex properties with balconies are available from £375,000 and the three-bedroom properties from £425,000 and £450,000. Secure car parking is available.
One new St John’s Mews resident is Pam Samuel, who said: “First of all, I liked the fact that St John’s Mews was not a multi-storey building. Also, the location mattered greatly as I wanted to be within walking distance of the city centre.
“I am very happy with my decision to move here. Everyone connected with the building and sale of my apartment has been helpful, friendly and accommodating.
“Both St John’s Mews and my apartment have a good layout and views. The development has been built to allow natural light into every room. High-quality materials and appliances and light- coloured decor makes the apartment and the building pleasing to look at and a pleasure to live in.
“Finally, security was well-considered when building SJM, and it was an aspect that was important to me and that requirement has been fulfilled,” she added. “I would certainly recommended this development to others.”
Paul Brown said: “It is very heart-warming to hear Pam’s comments. Overall, we have been absolutely delighted with the continuing level of interest and sales rate at St John’s Mews, which are a resounding endorsement of our development.
“The affordability of the homes is a very important element of this project and, with the Government’s Help to Buy initiative, we have seen that a number of young professionals are able to become home-owners for the first time.
“We are extremely proud of St John’s Mews, which adds to the excellent reputation of the Groves as one of the city’s most popular residential areas. It is proving to be especially attractive not only to first-time buyers, who are hoping to get a foothold on to the property ladder but to buyers who are looking for a “change of lifestyle” or retiring to the area.”
Mr Brown added: “Our show apartment gives prospective buyers the perfect opportunity to view a furnished property. Meanwhile the next phase of the development is ready for occupation and prospective buyers can see for themselves the quality of fixtures and fittings within the individual properties.”
