A highly prominent north Leeds trade counter estate is proving popular following an extensive refurbishment programme and there are now just two units remaining, after City Plumbing Supplies opened a major new trade counter within the development.
The plumbing and heating giant, which has more than 370 branches throughout the UK and Ireland, has expanded into 5,515 sq ft of space that spans two units at Ribston Trade Park on Roundhay Road, which is being marketed by Leeds property consultancy Gent Visick.
The estate was acquired by industrial property specialist, Ribston, in an acquisition negotiated by Gent Visick’s investment team.
The company’s building consultancy division has overseen the site’s refurbishment programme which has created six high quality trade counter and warehouse units totalling approximately 17,000 sq ft. All the units front onto Roundhay Road and sit within a secure site with parking and loading areas.
Jonathan Jacob, from Gent Visick, said: “Ribston Trade Park is a well-established, highly prominent trade counter estate on one of the main arterial routes in and out of Leeds city centre from North Leeds, which approximately 16,000 vehicles pass daily.
“The local area is extremely popular with national trade counter occupiers, with Eurocell already being a tenant at Ribston Trade Park, whilst Jewson, Selco, Screwfix, Toolstation, Edmundson Electrical, Topps Tiles and GSF Car Parts are all within close proximity.
“When this was combined with the development’s high-quality refurbishment programme, it immediately appealed to City Plumbing Supplies and we’re now speaking to several other potential occupiers about the two remaining units, which range between 2,700 sq ft and 4,300 sq ft.”
Aqleem Khokar from Travis Perkins, parent company of City Plumbing Supplies, said: “Ribston Trade Park has prominence on to Roundhay Road and offers a range of high quality, modern units, in an easily accessible location with generous parking and loading areas.
“This latest branch will stock and offer online over 25,000 bathroom, plumbing and heating products, as well as complementing our three existing Leeds depots in Crossgates, Wortley and Hunslet. This location will prove very popular with both tradespeople and the public.”
