BBC Radio Leeds has signed a new three-year deal with Bradford City which will see live commentary of every match until the end of the 2022/23 season.
It will be the only radio station to feature full match coverage – including commentary, interviews and touchline reporting – of every Bantams game.
All games will be broadcast on 774MW, with some games also broadcast on FM. The games, along with the pre and post-match programmes, will be available afterwards on BBC Sounds.
Former Bradford City winger Andy Kiwomya will be the station’s expert summariser alongside new lead commentator Jamie Raynor.
Sanjiv Buttoo, editor of BBC Radio Leeds, said: “We are really pleased to be continuing our long association with Bradford City and I can confirm that we’ll be reporting every kick of the ball over the next three seasons and beyond as Bradford battle their way up the Football League.
“Meanwhile you’ll be able to catch every Leeds United game on our FM channels and every Huddersfield Town game on DAB.”
Bradford City’s director of communications and commercial, Ryan Sparks, said: “We hugely value our relationship with BBC Radio Leeds and have been working hard in recent months to take it to another level.
“We are delighted to have agreed a longer-term partnership, meaning the broadcast and overall service on offer can be further developed and improved as the season progresses.
“We are looking forward to now forging a successful partnership with BBC Radio Leeds, as we approach a season like no other – where access is set to be limited and therefore very important to City fans far and wide.”
You can listen to full match commentary of Bradford City’s first game of the season, at Bolton in the League Cup, on Saturday, September 5, on 92.4FM and 774MW from 2pm.
