York-based law firm, Langleys Solicitors, has maintained its excellent record in the Chambers and Partners rankings, with two new practice areas commended in Band 2 for 2021.
The Employment and Private Client teams become the third and fourth commended areas for the York-based firm, joining the Family team, which has been ranked in Band 1 since 2019, and the Real Estate team, which is ranked for the third year running.
A number of individual lawyers at the firm have also been recognised, with Family partner, Mark Day achieving his third year in Band 1, and Tim Cross and James Bradley from the Real Estate team ranked in Band 3, and as an Associate to Watch, respectively. James Bradley was promoted to partner shortly before the 2020 edition of Chambers and Partners was published.
Langleys is also praised for its UK-wide work in Personal Injury, with divisional head David Thompson recommended in Band 4 for the third year running, with feedback and testimonials saying he is “highly experienced and stands out in terms of client service and technical excellence”.
The Chambers success follows the Yorkshire team’s triumphs in the Legal 500 2021 rankings. The Commercial Litigation, Employment and Private Client teams all improved on their rankings from the previous year and Property Litigation was included for the first time.
The Personal Injury, Family and Commercial Property teams all retained their 2020 status.
Tim Cross, managing partner at Langleys Solicitors, said: “We are so pleased to see the firm and our solicitors recognised for all the hard work they do. The results from Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 2021 rankings put us amongst the top firms in the country for the work we do, and maintaining and improving these standings is no mean feat.
“Testimonials from our clients and these results from legal experts spur us on to provide the best possible service and outcomes for our clients in York and the surrounding areas.”
The York-based law firm was commended for its ‘personal and detailed service’ and ‘fantastic attention to detail’, as well as providing a ‘personal helpful, flexible and always responsive’ approach. Clients also said partners and solicitors were also praised for their ‘guidance, support and reassurance’, and their ‘knowledge of the market and industries they served.’
