Sports agency and leisure and sport hotel announce exciting plans

A partnership between a leading Yorkshire-based sports agency and a leisure and sport hotel in Poland is celebrating a winning performance with the announcement of exciting new plans for 2021 and beyond.

In summer 2020 Full Time Group (FTG), based in Sheffield, planned, arranged and hosted a ‘significant’ football training camp for Olympique Lyonnais – widely regarded as the best women’s club team in the world – at the Hotel Remes Sport and Spa near Poznan, Poland.

The two organisations also combined to then stage another camp for French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco and manager Niko Kovac.

Olympique Lyonnais went on to retain the Champions League title and have also made the perfect start to retaining their French league title where they remain unbeaten.

Officials from the French team worked closely with FTG managing director Danny Stones to enable the camp to go ahead satisfying Covid-19 regulations.

“The provision of a training camp and meeting all the needs of professional sports teams is often complex and requires specialist support,” said Danny. “This time we had the added issues of dealing and complying with Covid-19 regulations.”

For the training camp, FTG:

  • Sourced and arranged for a hotel to provide full training facilities; travel to and from the venue
  • Organised three friendly matches against the top three Polish teams, with two played at the on-site pitches at the hotel
  • Co-ordinated a range of food, dietary, spa and wellness, medical and sports science facilities.

He added: “We were delighted to work with Olympique Lyonnais. It meant we were able to help the team become focused and ready for especially the Champions League, where they beat Wolfsburg in the final and for the start of the new domestic season in France, where they remain unbeaten.”

Hotel Remes Sport and Spa director, Jakub Wrobinski said: “We have been working successfully with Danny Stones and FTG for many years on our football marketing strategy and in raising awareness of our hotel and training facility.

“FTG has helped us to open and develop new markets, including for top English and French teams from the men’s and women’s game. Hotel Remes is also working with FTG on exciting new plans for football and group bookings from other key countries for 2021 and beyond.”
