Yorkshire law firm Keebles LLP’s residential conveyancing team has experienced higher demand for services this year than ever before, with property sales soaring after the Spring lockdown.
2020 has been the best ever year for the team, with the number of new instructions into the department more than doubling as demand for conveyancing increased dramatically when the property market was allowed to re-open in May.
When the UK went into lockdown in March, the team adapted quickly by providing remote working solutions for all staff members and ensured all clients were updated with relevant changes. This meant that minimum disruption was caused to progress on purchases.
The Residential team also launched a new conveyancing app in the summer, which provides transparency and live updates during a home move and enables the majority of paperwork to be sent and signed electronically. Feedback from clients has been very positive and the department is now looking to reduce the amount of physical paperwork it posts out.
Bonita Wolfenden, partner and head of residential conveyancing at Keebles, said: “As we draw closer to the end of 2020, we can breathe a small sigh of relief that the last clients of the year are able to move into their new homes for Christmas.
“Over the last nine months and across all three of our offices, everyone has pulled together more than ever before. They have worked extremely hard to give clients a good service and ensure that transactions have gone through quickly despite the challenges caused by the pandemic and a boom in post-lockdown house sales.
“It has been an exciting, albeit challenging time for the team and they deserve immense credit for their efforts this year.”
The work of the Residential team has been very well received by clients, who appreciated their commitment to providing a high-quality service despite the obvious challenges they were faced with. Their service has been described as ‘exceptional’, ‘prompt’ and ‘personal’, with one client claiming that they ‘would 100 per cent recommend Keebles to anyone’.
Another client said: “Covid restrictions did not stop excellent service – all of the Keebles staff promptly and professionally responded. Our final move went without a single hitch and the finances were efficiently handled.”
Bonita added: “It is a testament to the hard work of every member of the team that we have received such positive feedback at a time when conveyancing has been in high demand and we have been forced to work remotely.”
“I want to express my thanks and appreciation to the team for what has been a year like no other. Each and every one of them has stepped up to the plate and has made me feel very proud.”
As the preferred solicitor for several reputable estate agents in the region, the Residential team has enjoyed four years of growth and is now a key player in Yorkshire for not only its first-class client care but also its reputation as an industry leader.
