Kippax Dental Centre has sold

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Kippax Dental Centre near Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Kippax Dental Centre began as a squat in 1979 and was built up by its current owner into the reputable and well-established one-surgery mixed dental practice that it is today. The business is located in Kippax, just outside Leeds, West Yorkshire, and enjoys a prominent position in the heart of the village in an area of mixed commercial and residential uses.

The business was previously owned and founded by Howard Bott, who decided to sell to pursue retirement. He said: “The Dental Surgery started as a squat in August 1979. I’ve built up a solid patient base from scratch and have given continuous service to Kippax and the surrounding areas for the last 41 years.

“I’ve been in dentistry for over 46 years and, as I was approaching 70, it seemed a good time to market the surgery and property. Christie & Co were recommended to me by previous clients who had reported only good things about the service that they had received. The sale was achieved in the main by the positivity and excellent communication skills of Olivia Allison who brokered the deal together with Jonathan Watson.”

Kippax Dental Centre has been purchased by Mr John Alker and Mr Jon Slater who also own Garforth Dental nearby. The pair plan to transform the business into a modern state-of-the-art centre.

Olivia Allison, business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: “When Howard first called me, he was questioning whether he had anything at all to sell. After a long discussion about how much potential the practice had, he decided to go to the market and both parties are very glad he did.

“Howard has been a pleasure to deal with throughout and I wish him a lovely retirement. Kippax was the perfect fit for John and Jon to grow their portfolio and I am sure it is going to be a great success. This sale is another example of buyer appetite for smaller NHS/mixed dental practices.”

Kippax Dental Centre was sold at an undisclosed price.
