A long established Skipton furnishing store is taking its business into the wider world.
The Home Company, based at High Corn Mill and established over 30 years ago, has launched its first fully transactional website.
It means homeowners across the region can now shop for everything from beds and sofas to dining sets, lighting and a host of accessories, from the comfort – and safety – of their own home.
has just gone live with some 500 items available online – and plans to grow that to over 1,000 available lines.
Home Company owner Andrew Mear said: “The lockdown has really reignited interest in the home and we’re responding to that increased demand by making it easier for people, particularly those living in Yorkshire and across the North, to access our wide range of furniture, furnishings and accessories from their own homes.”
Many items from the store’s product catalogue are now available to order online for nationwide delivery with no additional shipping charge on orders over £50 – although the bulk of deliveries are expected to be made within a 50 mile radius of Skipton.
The all-new website showcases many of the stores mix of well-known brands (such as Stressless and Himolla) and locally produced arts and crafts (including paintings by Victoria Alderson and the Making Waves Woodwork collection by James Banham).
It has also allowed the business to expand its diverse offer with a range of contemporary accessories, including the latest, super-cool terrestrial globes which rotate in the sunlight.
The Home Company has thrived for over 30 years thanks to a belief in bringing together contemporary furniture and accessories displayed in an inspirational way so customers can pick up ideas for their own homes.
