‘Workplace wellbeing, and Helping you Manage it’, is the subject under the microscope at Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce’s March meeting.

Being held via Zoom at 6pm this Monday (March 8), four expert speakers will cover a variety of wellbeing-related topics during the online event, which is open to all.

Steve Ellis, head of Employee Benefits division of Prosperis Ltd, will explore some of the areas that owners and managers of SME businesses need to consider in bringing their greatest asset, the workforce, back to full productivity, and describe a cost-effective solution that can provide a solid foundation.

Emily Snaith, HR Advisor at CNG, will describe the innovative things the company has been doing since March 2020 to look after the wellbeing of over 200 staff, the insights gained, and their exciting plan for the coming months.

Laura Brett, Head of fundraising and promotion at Wellspring, will give a brief overview of how poor mental health can affect the workplace, dwell on the wide range of support Wellspring offers local businesses, and touch briefly on the partnership opportunities which their fundraising initiatives provide.

Phil Holdsworth, co-founder and a Director of AurumGold, will talk about a leading cause of employee stress, financial worries. During his 14 years in the money advice sector, Phil has worked with the UK Government, European Parliament, industry lead bodies and policy institutes, and helped shape debt advice regulations. He will explain some of the options available to employers.

Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce CEO, Sandra Doherty, said: “With the COVID-19 pandemic propelling mental health and employee wellbeing to the fore, this meeting is a must for all employers, and will provide plenty of useful and practical advice from four local experts.”
