Yorkshire based specialist natural pet food retailer Dragonlfy Products has appointed HR and employment law consultancy Howarths to support its two-year growth plan.
The partnership will see Howarths work alongside Dragonfly finance director, Richard Lambert, to develop the HR and team development programme and employment law compliance for the Slaithwaite based business.
Mr Lambert said: “We are looking to continue our rapid growth over the next 12 to 24 months and further diversify the raw dog food brands we offer while expanding our product portfolio from food and treats to include all things canine.
“Key to the success of our growth plans is our people, and so ensuring we have support in place to look after and develop our team as the business continues to grow is our top priority. Howarths will help us develop everything from our functional HR procedures to employment law compliance as our headcount grows in line with the business.”
Gavin Howarth, managing director at Howarths, said: “Getting solid, commercially-focused HR and employment law procedures in place is a crucial step for any fast growth, scale-up business.
“Doing so not only supports business continuity and productivity as the business continues to grow and evolve by providing the tools and templates for senior teams to manage people issues confidently and efficiently as and when they inevitably arise, but also demonstrates a deeper level of commitment from the business to the ongoing development of employees, which can really help with staff retention and future recruitment.
“We are very much looking forward to working alongside the Dragonlfy team and helping them shape their HR function as the business embarks on the next stage of its growth journey.”
Dragonfly Product was founded in 2018 by Laura Lambert. The company sells 100 per cent natural UK an EU sourced raw and dry dog food, as well as treats, chews and grooming products.
