Record start to the year fuels recruitment drive

Hull caravan manufacturer Arronbrook are on track for one of their best years ever as the UK’s hunger for staycation holidays continues to fuel a sales boom.

Although the new 2021 static caravan season is still in its infancy, the Arronbrook order book is already full for the rest of this year and up to February 2022.

Now the family-owned business is aiming to increase its workforce by 25 per cent and recruit 10 new members of staff for their Hedon Road headquarters

Arronbrook director Paul Coombs believes the thirst for staycations and ongoing uncertainty around foreign holidays is proving to be the driving force.

He said: “There’s no doubt that the UK holiday market is buoyant at the moment because people are keen to book a location that they know they’ll be able to get to and enjoy.

“Our current team are working to maximum capacity and the orders continue to come in thick and fast, so we need to find more skilled staff to keep up with demand.

“We’re mainly on the hunt for experienced caravan furnishers. We’ve got plenty of work and we’re desperate to hear from reliable people who’d like to work for a small and friendly local business.”

Arronbrook has a wide range of regular European customers – including sites in Belgium, France and Holland – and the export market continues to remain strong.

They also manufacture new models on behalf of Bridlington Caravans and several other independent park owners – including Essex giants Sambeck Caravans.

Mr Coombs added: “After the disruptions of last year, we’re thrilled to have enjoyed a very positive opening few months to 2021.

“If we can maintain the order levels we’re currently experiencing, this could be a record year of trading for us.”
