Leeds print company nominated for three awards

Northern Flags and FaberExposize UK supply wide format print for some of the world’s most iconic events and brands

Print business Northern Flags and sister company FaberExposize UK have been nominated for three Made in Yorkshire Awards.

The wide format print specialists put over 35 years experience to good use as it landed nominations in the Manufacturer of the Year (Under £25m), Manufacturing Training Scheme and Apprentice of the Year award categories.

The Made in Yorkshire Awards recognize diversity and excellence in Yorkshire and the Humber, and those companies in the region manufacturing world class products and distributing them throughout the country and across the world.

Yorkshire and the Humber have been synonymous with manufacturing excellence since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, so to be shortlisted for not one but three truly is a seal approval.

Thanks to an agile pivot strategy, company training and development schemes and the launch of a new, popular green initiative Action Now, Northern Flags has been able to thrive during what has been a tough time for the economy.

The nominations reflect the trust it has in its ambitious and talented young team, and also the results that team has been able to deliver throughout 2020.

Managing director of Northern Flags & FaberExposize UK, Iain Clasper-Cotte, said: “We have shed endless blood, sweat and tears over the last 12 months, so to receive these three nominations is real recognition for our team. Thanks to them, not only have we navigated the choppy waters of 2020, but we’re also growing rapidly and looking forward to unveiling some exciting new plans for the future.

“As a business, we’ve long known that one of our key strengths is the energy and ambition of our employees. Added to the learning and development we’ve undergone in the last year means we’re now in a position to pass that knowledge on to our clients and suppliers.

“We’re really pushing this with our Action Now environmental initiative, which is so important for the print and manufacturing industries.”

The awards ceremony takes place at the Leeds Hilton, on Thursday, July 29.
