IT Asset Disposal company S2S Group has increased its operations in London by acquiring the assets and customer base of Data Eliminate Ltd, whose offices are situated in Fleet Street.
Rotherham-based S2S will now have a London presence to help serve its rapidly increasing client portfolio. The deal also means Data Eliminate clients will now have redundant equipment processed under S2S’s zero to landfill policy.
The move marks a major expansion for S2S, which has committed to reducing its carbon footprint by becoming Carbon Net Zero by 2050; the first UK IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) company to make this pledge as part of the UN Race to Zero campaign.
Grant Barton, CEO of S2S, said: “The deal with Data Eliminate Ltd will enhance our London based presence with immediate effect. This strengthens the opportunities for Data Eliminate customers and our existing London based clients, to have their redundant equipment processed by S2S; one of the UK’s leading ITAD companies.”
He added: “Our recent organic growth and profitability has allowed us to look strategically at our needs for the next phase of our development and this expansion fits comfortably into our existing infrastructure, whilst at the same time creating new job opportunities in a number of areas.”
E-waste is the fastest growing waste stream, with over 40 million tonnes of it ending up in landfill each year, S2S provides a bespoke ‘zero to landfill’ service that helps businesses make environmentally conscious choices for their end-of-life IT.
S2S’s range of services includes Data erasure or destruction (on or off-site); IT recycling disposal and or re-sale; imaging and deployment; ‘live real time asset tracking’; secure decommissioning, and secure paperless transportation.
The Company has recently invested £1.5m for the outright purchase of its secure warehouse and office complex in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, which includes manned 24-hour CCTV coverage. Furthermore, S2S are currently embarking on an ambitious programme of carbon reduction with the introduction of electric vehicles, a switch to LED bulbs throughout the facility and have changed to a 100% renewable energy supplier.
Julian Fraser, Director of Data Eliminate Ltd, said: “Joining S2S was a clear choice for us because our ethos and business practices are aligned. They are accredited by the Ministry of Defence and Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) – just like Data Eliminate Ltd – and are able to provide the high-level of service expected by our customers.
Data Eliminate has worked closely with S2S on projects for a number of years so we are well aware of S2S’s capabilities as a ‘one stop’ ITAD company and the integrity with which they operate. We are delighted to become part of this exciting business and the expanded range of secure ITAD services now available will be a huge benefit to all of our clients.”
