One of the world’s best-known hair and beauty brands is expanding its marketing operations with a new senior hire.
Laura Proctor has been appointed as group brand and marketing manager at Cloud Nine. The company employs a workforce of more than 60 at its North Yorkshire headquarters in Harrogate.
With a growing celebrity following, Cloud Nine was also the official hair partner of ITV reality programme Love Island’s latest series in 2021. Since then, it has welcomed contestant Mary Bedford as its own brand ambassador.
The brand recently announced the launch of its new beauty product range, releasing two skincare devices – one specialising in anti-ageing and rejuvenation, and the other designed to sculpt and massage your face and body.
Laura Proctor, group brand and marketing manager, said: “Cloud Nine is a brand I am extremely passionate about and I’m thrilled to be joining the team – this is an exciting opportunity, and I can’t wait to support the brand on its growth journey.”
Jo Fox, group sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted to bring Laura on board to strengthen our proposition and level up our overall marketing approach. Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her; her arrival in the business will bring real value to our future strategy and goals.”
Laura, who has worked in marketing for over nine years, across a range of clients such as The Inkey List, Bupa, RSA Insurance, Jet2 and Cloud Nine. For the last six years, she has worked for IMA HOME. During this time, she has successfully planned and implemented campaigns and strategies for a range of high-profile clients.
In her previous role, Laura was the account director of the Cloud Nine account at IMA HOME, where she ran last year’s ‘Fiercely You’ campaign for Cloud Nine. This iconic campaign advocated freeing yourself from the pressure of perfectionism and celebrating your own style.
Laura’s appointment follows Cloud Nine’s new HR hire, Beth Daley, who started her position as HR Business Partner in January this year.
